| Abstract | [pt]Nos últimos cem anos as criações de indivíduos internados em hospitais psiquiátricos deram origem a coleções e museus em diversos lugares do mundo. Esse colecionismo deriva de uma visão romântica sobre as produções de indivíduos rotulados como loucos e por isso submetidos a um isolamento extremo. O artigo procura reunir, partindo da literatura disponível, as informações existentes sobre as práticas museológicas realizadas nessas coleções, evidenciando sua importância na legitimação desse tipo de produção. Entre essas coleções o Museu de Imagens do Inconsciente destaca-se como o maior representante desse gênero de acervo, e o trabalho congrega a evolução, ao longo de sua história, dos métodos de organização de seu acervo e das informações dele derivadas. | pt_BR |
| Abstract | [en]In the last hundred years the creations of individuals admitted to psychiatric hospitals have resulted in collections and museums in various parts of the world. This hoarding stems from a romantic view on the production of individuals labeled as crazy and therefore subjected to extreme isolation. The article seeks to bring together, starting from the available literature, the existing information on the practices undertaken in these museum collections, highlighting its importance in legitimizing this kind of production. Among these collections the Museum of Images of the Unconscious stands out as the most representative of this type of collection, and work together on development over its history, methods of organizing their collections and the information derived from it. | pt_BR |
